5th Grade Class Interviews Georgia State Sen. Gail Davenport
5th Grade Class with Senator Gail Davenport Recently, as part of Black History Month, students from Fountain Elementary School in Clayton County were able to interview Georgia State Sen. Gail Davenport of District 44, who attended Fountain Elementary and High School when the schools were segregated. She was interviewed by some junior reporters of the school on what Fountain Elementary and High School were like 50 years ago during this era, and how the school system has changed. A conversation Jamilah Hud-Kirk, principal at Fountain Elementary, Sabreen Shabaz, who organized the event, and some fifth grade students from the school, Zaria and Joshua.
