While celebrating Black History Month we had two outstanding events. The first was The Taste of African American Soul Food.
On this day teachers donated traditional soul food for students to have a taste. There were activities for students to take part in as well, like doll making, stick horse races, hop scotch and much more.
The second event was the Black Wax Museum. Students in the 5th and 4th grade were asked to do research on a historical African Americans they would like to be a wax figure for. The students did a fabulous job bringing their person to life and educating the school on all the wonderful things their person did.
